And RedBull X-Fighters Was A No Go

Well RedBull X-Fighters was a bust. I was looking forward to it since last year. Unfortunately, Glen Helen Raceway is situated between mountains, so it is almost always windy. When it comes to freestyle motocross, wind is not the athletes friend. The event was supposed to start at 1p.m. but kept getting delayed until they officially cancelled it at 3p.m. The athletes were able to participate in qualifying, but that took place at 10a.m. when spectators were not allowed in yet. We were unable to see anyone compete. It is completely understandable, but it was also very annoying. The athletes safety is of course very important, I just really wanted to see freestyle motocross in person. Wind was nobody’s friend that day. The event was cancelled and not rescheduled, so everyone is getting a refund. I was so looking forward to it, but the wind had other plans.
