Riders in Real Life

Seeing a supercross/motocross rider, for me, is like seeing a celebrity. I was fortunate enough to be at the same club as two riders back in the Summer of 2012. Cole Seely, who rides for Troy Lee Designs Lucas Oil Honda, was trying to go unnoticed, but as a motocross guru I spotted him right away and asked for a picture. He said he was there with a group of friends and little did I know it would include Broc Tickle who rides for RCH Racing. Broc returned with two other guys, Mikey and Chance, to Cole after getting a drink. I was able to get my picture with Broc, who then asked me to dance. It was like a dream come true for me. Not only did I get to meet these two riders, but they wanted to meet me, as well. My friends and I hung out with Broc, Cole, Mikey, and Chance the whole night. I was able to get to know them on a personal level. It may sound cliche, but they were just average people like everybody else. It was nice to see them let loose and have a good time, instead of the usual look of stress at a race. Who knows if an oppurtunity like this will ever happen again, but I definitely cherish this moment.
