And That’s a Wrap

With the 2013 Supercross season now to an end, it is definitely bittersweet. I attended the last race in Las Vegas this past weekend on May 4,2013. The event took place at Sam Boyd Stadium to a sold out crowd. With only 5 points seperating both the East and West 250 class, it was sure to be a good night. For the East Coast Wil Hahn(Geico Factory Honda) was in first place with Marvin Musquin(KTM Redbull Factory) only trailing by 5 points. On the West Coast, Ken Roczen(KTM Redbull Factory) was leading with Eli Tomac(Geico Factory Honda) 5 points behind. During the day at practice, East Coast rider Wil Hahn crashed, and it was later announced that he broke his hand, but he was still going to race in order to win the title. The East Coast race was first where both Wil and Marvin didn’t get off to a good start. Wil ended the race in 3rd and Marvin in 2nd, but it was not enough for Marvin to win the title. Wil Hahn raced with a broken hand to the 250 East Coast title. For the West Coast, it was a similar situation on the start, but both Ken and Eli worked their way to the front. Eli finished 1st and Ken was 2nd, but once again it was not enough and Ken was able to hold onto the points lead for the 250 West Coast title. Both East and West were super competitive and great to watch. Congratulations to Wil Hahn and Ken Roczen!
